I was on perez hilton today and this really caught my eye. The title of his little blurb was "Are You Ready To Vacation... IN SPACE? Perez goes on to say...
"That could happen as soon as 2012, if someone lights a fire under those Italians - and you have $4.4 million!
No one said moving up like the Jeffersons Jetsons wouldn't be costly!
A Barcelona-based architect company has begun production on the The Galactic Suite Space Resort, a multi-billion dollar hotel that will orbit the Earth. Included in the hefty $4.4 million price tag is a three-night stay at the hotel and an eight-week training course on a tropical island.
Astronaut camp for adults!
After a day and a half of travel to the hotel, guests will enjoy watching the sunrise 15 times a day, orbiting the full length of the Earth every 80 minutes, and wearing velcro suits "so they can crawl around their pod rooms by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman."
It has been reported that 43 people have already placed reservations in for the journey. We wonder if Lance Bass has $4.4 million dollars!
If U had the dough, would U go?"
I think this sounds really cool especially wearing velcro suits and sticking yourself to the walls of your pod rooms haha. I can't believe that 43 people have already signed up to do this. I think that 4.4 million dollars is a lot of money to drop on a space vacation. I thought we were in a recession?

who needs space vacations when you have Hawaii??
ReplyDeleteWow! I have heard about Richard Branson's airline planning some kind of plane that would do something similar by flying up through the Earth's atmosphere or something, but I've never heard of full space vacations! It sounds really cool...but $4.4 million for a vacation? Even if I had that kind of money, I don't think I could ever justify spending that much on something like that.
